Kenneth Johnson

Kenneth Johnson, 93, of Sistersville, WV, died on May 12, 2013, at Carehaven of Pleasants County, Belmont, WV. He was born April 8, 1920, in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late Frank Johnson and Bertha Holmes Johnson. Kenneth was retired from Tyler County Schools as a bus driver and was a full time farmer. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He also was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sistersville, WV. He is survived by his wife Helen Ice Johnson, two sons, Bill (Janet) Johnson of Sistersville, WV, Dan (Pat) Johnson of Glenville, WV, and two daughters, Dorothy (Jim) Shreves, Sistersville, WV, and Nancy (James) McMullen, Sistersville, WV, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Dale, Duane and Robert Johnson. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Myers Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Rev. Donald Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendly Cemetery at Friendly, WV. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2-4 pm, 6-8 pm and one hour prior to service.
