Kevin Joseph VanCamp, 70, of Sistersville, WV, was born on March 23, 1952 in Steubenville, OH and ended his battle with cancer on September 29, 2022 at Sistersville Center. When Kevin was young, he moved with his father, Joseph from the steel mills to farming on Pleasants Ridge in Tyler County, WV. Kevin graduated Tyler County High School in 1971 and then attended Fairmont State College before he joined the United States Army as an Electrical Instrumentation Specialist and served stateside and in Germany during the Vietnam Era. Kevin worked as a union Electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local #141 based out of Wheeling, WV until his retirement. He was an active member of the American Legion Post #67 and he enjoyed his retirement on his private farm with his family. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca (Chuck) VanCamp-Daugherty and his granddaughter, Gwenevere Daughtery, both of Sistersville, WV. There will be a memorial service on October 15, 2022 at the Veteran's Park in Sistersville, WV at 2:00 pm followed by a dinner at the American Legion.
