L. Eugene Boston

L. Eugene Boston, 90, of Sistersville, passed away July 11, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born May 3, 1924, a son of the late Lawrence Boston, Sr. and Ruby Boston. Gene was a retired instrument foreman at PPG Industries. He enjoyed the challenge of his work. Hunting, reloading, fishing, boating and race walking were favorite activities he enjoyed with his family. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sistersville and the Sistersville BPOE Elks #333. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Eagle of Sistersville and his grandson, Keith Pryor of Knoxville, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian in 2004. Gene and Vivian enjoyed Western Square Dancing for many years and taught many local folks using tapes and records. There will be a visitation on Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 11:00 am until time of service at noon at Myers Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Dawson officiating.
