Lana Kay Wise

Lana Kay Smith Wise, 71, of Sistersville, WV, passed away on January 13, 2025 at home.

She was born May 7, 1953, in Sistersville, WV, a daughter of the late Charles A. Smith and Anna Chloreen Orr Smith.

Lana worked as a caregiver at Colin Anderson Center and then retired as an in-home health caregiver for Helping Hands Home Care Service for Independent Living.  She was a member of the Calcutta United Methodist Church.  She loved watching the Food Network Channel and was a great cook.  She was a great homemaker and she enjoyed going for car rides and enjoying the scenery.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Doug Wise of Sistersville, WV; daughter, Leeanna Wise of Sistersville, WV; step-son, Cregg Wise of Belmont, WV and grandchildren, Cody Wise, Brody Wise and Emily Wise.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Kathy Headley and Karen Kile.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 4-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be on Thursday at 11:00 am with Pastor Mark Mayfield officiating.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
