Laymond Adams, 80, of St. Marys, WV, passed away June 7, 2012 at Carehaven of Pleasants. He was born March 5, 1932 in Sistersville, a son of the late Dean Adams and Mary Stackhouse Adams. Laymond was a laborer at Marble King in St. Marys and Paden City and he worked for the City of St. Marys. He attended the George Street Church of Christ in St. Marys. He is survived by his son, Joseph Adams of St. Marys; daughters, Vickie Nichols, Linda Poling, Cheryl Bonner, Sue Peckens of St. Marys, Mary Butcher of Wick and Lori Smith of Sistersville; brothers, Russell “Red” Adams of Sistersville, Marshall Adams of Littleton and Bill Adams of Paden City; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Adams and daughter, Christina Louise Adams. Services will be Saturday from 12-2 with the funeral at 2:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Arnold Huyghebaert officiating. Interment will be at Cloverdale Cemetery.
