Lloyd "Tootie" C. Soliday

Soliday, Lloyd C. “Tootie”, age 84, of Sistersville, WV passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at his residence. He was born on September 1, 1932 in Owensboro, KY a son of the late Harry L. and Blanche Barnhart Soliday. Lloyd retired from Valley Steel; was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge #333, Sistersville. He loved fishing and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Butler and two brothers, Jack and Clifford Soliday. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Patricia “Patty” Hunt Soliday; four children: Mark (Lynn) Soliday of Augusta, GA, Teresa (Randy) Williams of Suffolk, VA, Erik (Melissa) Soliday of Ashburn, GA and Casey (Staci) Soliday of Ocilla, GA; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Maycee. Family will receive friends at the Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Sistersville from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017 where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2017 with Evangelist Tom Butterfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Sistersville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Journey Hospice, 314 Wells St., Sistersville, WV 26175. Elks service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
