Lonnie L. Billiter

Lonnie L. Billiter, 77, of Rt. 2, New Martinsville, W.Va., died August 17, 2008 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born January 5, 1931 in Wetzel County, W.Va., the son of the late Everett Billiter and Ada Marie Nolan Billiter. He was retired from Atlas Insulation as a warehouse manager insulator and truck driver in New Martinsville. He was a lifelong member and Deacon of Paden Fork Chapel Christian Church. Mr. Billiter was a self taught carpenter and designer of practical items useful for everyday life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Genova. Surviving are his wife, Betty Lou Cross Billiter; one son, Darrell (Heather) Billiter of New Matamoras, Ohio; and granddaughter, Talise Rachelle Billiter. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Sistersville, W.Va. with Clifton McLawhorn and the Rev. Frank Conley officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendly Cemetery, Friendly, W.Va. Calling hours are 5 – 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
