Madge Lane

Lane, Madge, 88, of Sistersville, WV, passed away October 24, 2009 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born March 11, 1921, a daughter of the late Earl Garrison and Olive Murphy. She was an author, published songwriter, chef and a teacher at Colin Anderson Center until she retired. She was a member of the Friendly Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter Donna (Frank) Sellers of Friendly, WV; sister, Joyce Ann Fonner of Moundsville, WV; granddaughters, Sabrina (Tom) Kyle of Sistersville, WV; Dawna (Bernie) Taylor of Lima, WV; Christina Harris and Matt Corbett of Hannibal, OH; grandson, Joe Sellers and Courtney Sherman of Friendly, WV; great-grandchildren T.C. Hunter, Johnathon Hunter, Angel Kyle, Jasmine Kyle, Josh Taylor, Jessie Taylor, Callie Taylor, Zach Taylor, Hunter Harris, Aubriana Corbett and Carter Sellers. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Gary Earl Lane and grandson, Timothy Uriah Lane. She loved traveling, reading and cooking; but most of all her family. Thank you-Mom for being my best friend and always supporting me, Grandma for teaching me to always see the best in people, Great-Grandma for teaching me to always try my best and just for being you.
