Marshall Dean Weekley

Marshall "Dean" Weekley, 77, of Pursley, WV, passed away July 2, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born October 6, 1942, in Weirton, WV, a son of the late Emery Weekley and Doris Miller Weekley. Marshall was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He worked as a chemical operator and retired from Crompton Corporation, formerly the Union Carbide plant, after 34 years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran and was an active member of the Friendly Church of Christ. He loved his family and being a song leader in his church congregation. He was a wonderful example of Christian love, compassions and kindness, always putting others before himself. Marshall is survived by his son, Brian (Tamela) Weekley of Sistersville, WV; daughter, Terri (Brian) Dennis of Pursley, WV; brothers, Roger Weekley of Pursley, WV, Gary (Francis) Weekley of Friendly, WV, Arthur (Nila) Weekley of Friendly, WV, Clyde (Kay) Weekley of Friendly, WV and Carl (Cathy) Weekley of Friendly, WV; sister, Lois Bernheisel of Holland, MI; grandchildren, Hannah Dennis, Daron Weekley, Miranda Weekley and Heidi Dennis; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy Lemasters Weekley; brother, Donald Keith Weekley and sister-in-law, Claudia Kile Weekley. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the wonderful doctors and staff at Ruby Memorial Hospital's bone marrow, cancer center and music therapy departments. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be make to WVU Cancer Institute or WVU Music Therapy. There will be a graveside service on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Friendly Cemetery at 1:00 pm with Evangelist Bill Reed officiating. Online condolences may be offered at myersfuneralhomewv.com.
