Martha Jean Hill

Martha Jean Hill, 91, of Sistersville, WV, passed away on April 25, 2018, at the Sistersville Center. She was born March 21, 1927, in Middlebourne, WV, a daughter of the late Theodore O. "T.O." Johnson and Della C. Bullman Johnson. Martha was a Dental Assistant for Dr. Stanley Patterson and she was a member of the Sistersville First United Methodist Church. She loved embroidery, coloring, playing cards and working puzzles. She was also on the activities committee at the Sistersville Center and worked on various other organizations at the nursing home. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa J. Drain of Sistersville, WV; grandson, Craig (Sarah) Drain of Powhatan, VA; daughter, Debra (Tom) Doig of Sistersville, WV; grandchildren, Blake Howard Doig, McKinley L. Drain, Katlyn Doig and Theresa Doig and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard H. Hill, brothers, Carl Johnson and Burl Johnson; sisters, Margaret Lowe and Mary Ankrom and son-in-law, Alton P. Drain. Services will be Friday at 2:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Dawson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
