Mary E. Menges

Mary E. Menges, 88, of Sistersville, W.Va., died May 2, 2009, at the Arbors at Marietta, Ohio. She was born March 12, 1921, in Sistersville, a daughter of the late James O. and Elsie S. Hayward Wagner. She was a homemaker and attended Oxford Street Church of Christ, Sistersville. She is survived by her sons, James (Sandy) Menges of Friendly, W.Va., David (Nancy) Menges of Washington, W.Va., and Thomas (Mary) Menges of Norwood, Ohio; a daughter, Katheryn (Gene) Johnston of Fairview, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emuel W. Menges; two sisters, Eliza Kile and Katheryn Yoham Evans; and four infant brothers. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Sistersville, with Evangelist Sam Bartrug officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Sistersville. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
