Mary Margaret "Peggy" Shepherd

Mary Margaret “Peggy” Jorden Shepherd, 80, of New Martinsville, formerly of Sistersville, WV, passed away April 11, 2012 at Sistersville Center surrounded by her family. She was born September 10, 1931, a daughter of the late Ralph Jorden and Margaret Culley Jorden. Peggy was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Sistersville and she was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Shepherd of 60 years, sons, Bill (Janet) Shepherd of Bridgeport, WV, Tom (Kelly) Shepherd of Newport News, VA, Jer (Lorie) Shepherd of Carrollton, VA, Jim (Lesa) Shepherd of Yorktown, VA and Dave (Catherine) Shepherd of Appling, GA; daughters, Debbie (Gary) Hisam of Friendly, Barb (Larry) Howlett of Martinez, GA, Jan (Mike)Wells of Sistersville and Mary Ann Shepherd of New Martinsville; brother, Ralph Jorden of Wheeling, WV and twenty-five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by infant son, Edward in 1967. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father James McCafferty officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 at Myers Funeral Home with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
