Mary Smith

Smith, Mary T., age 96, of Sistersville, WV, died Saturday, May 5, 2018 in Oviedo, Fl. She was born on June 17, 1921 in Upshur county, WV, a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Eva Hornbeck Teets. Mary was a retired educator who dedicated 37 years of her life to teaching in the Sistersville Schools She was a member of the Sistersville United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Evermont Smith in 1978 and seven brothers and sisters. Surviving are two daughters: Diane (John) Clark of Oviedo, Fl; Betty (Robert) Gladstein of Centerville, Mass and one son: Fred E. (Colleen) Smith of Beckley, WV: 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, May 19th at 11:00 a.m., Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Sistersville. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Reed-Stephenson Cemetery, Clay, WV. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sistersville United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 610 Main St., Sistersville, WV 26175.
