Maxine Shreves

Shreves, Maxine, 94, of Sistersville, passed away September 30, 2009 at the Sistersville Center. She was born July 16, 1915, a daughter of the late Pearly Hissam and Eliza Starkey Hissam. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Sistersville. She is survived by a son, James (Dorothy) Shreves of Sistersville; daughters, Janice (Jim) Butcher of Johnston, OH; Shirley (Jim) Wilson of Sistersville; Shelba (Stanley) Shultz of Middlebourne; and Linda (Bill) Mylar of Thornville, OH; sixteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Shreves; a brother, Lewis Hissam; sisters, Pauline Berkhimer, Dorothy Masters and Rogene Myers; and one grandson, Thomas Wilson. Services will be at 11:00 am Saturday at Myers Funeral Home, with the Reverend Don Thomas officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
