Maynard Braniff, 84, of New Martinsville, WV, passed away on April 1, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born January 16, 1941, in Wetzel County, WV, to the late Paul Braniff and Clida “Nee Nee” Spencer Braniff.
Maynard joined the Teamsters Local #697, Wheeling, WV in 1960. He enjoyed hunting, running heavy equipment and driving truck.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Debbie Parks Braniff of New Martinsville, WV; children, Emiley (Bill) Hickok of West Des Moines, IA, Jana Maupin (Steve Lavenski) of Moundsville, WV, David Braniff of Myrtle Beach, SC, Scott Otto Braniff of Wellsburg, WV, Maynard ‘Buckey’ Braniff, Jr. of Toronto, OH, Amy Sue Neeley of Weirton, WV and Jamie (Julian) Yost of Richlands, NC; sisters, Marcella Snider of Parkersburg, WV, Kay Shinn of Paden City, WV, and Linda Kyle of Middlebourne, WV; grandchildren, Jeana (Jeremiah) Persinger, Tiffany (Sam) Blake, Jackie (Alex) Garrison, Garrett Braniff (Haley), Daniel Braniff (Kayla Hunt), Makenna Braniff, Paige (Yusuf) Celenli, Dakota Neeley, Liam Neeley, and Frankie Yost; great-grandchildren, Joseph (Jasmine) Maupin, Gracie Lee Persinger, Jaylynn Adams, Samantha “Sami” Swiger, Xavier “X” Blake, Easton Braniff, Aylah Braniff and Elizabelle Jewel (EJ) Hunt; great great-grandchildren, Kadence Crawford, Haylee Crawford, and Reed Crawford and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be visitation at Myers Funeral Home on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Emiley Hickok officiating.
