Melissa Higgins

Melissa Higgins, 52, of Pennsboro, WV, passed away, December 14, 2022 at home, surrounded by her family.

She was born November 26, 1970, in New Martinsville, WV, a daughter of the late Franklin Eugene Rose, Sr. and Mary Lewis Rose.

Melissa loved spending time with her family and her grandkids.  She enjoyed fishing, camping and boating and she had an affinity for all kinds of animals.

She is survived by her husband, Everett "Bub" Higgins of Pennsboro, WV; children, Kayla (Jake) Gorrell, Stephen Higgins, Lisa Higgins and Christopher (Kylee) Postlethwait; grandchildren, Jahaila, Jaisa, Jaiven, Jayleea, Gracie, Liam, Bransten, Brayden and Kia; sister, Ashley (Jason) Lamp; brothers, Frank Rose, Jr. and Weezer Wilkinson; niece and nephew, "Peanut" and "Mater" and several other nieces and nephews; and best friend, Debbie Gorrell.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 1-3 and 5-7 pm at Myers Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin at 7:00 pm with Corey Eline.
