Michael Lee Lancaster, 44, of Sistersville, WV, left this earth on February 10, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following a tragic work related accident. He was born December 31, 1974 in Sistersville, WV, where he spent his entire life. Michael was a 1994 graduate of Tyler Consolidated High School. Following graduation, Michael worked alongside his brother at Lancaster Logging. He spent countless hours giving back to others from giving them money, food, shelter and the shirt off his back if needed. He carried on this tradition even through his death by providing others with an opportunity to extend their lives through organ donation. For the individual receiving his heart, you will have a heart of gold. Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Michael didn't believe in saying "good-bye," instead he would say "see ya later." Michael is survived by his mother and step-father, Mary and Russell Myers; his significant other of 23 years, Debbie Flint; his daughter, Shelby Flint; his grandmother, Wilda Paden; his siblings, Melissa (Dan) Lancaster, Meschelle (Daniel) Thompson, Gregory Lancaster and Adam (Kelly) Myers; several Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Dwight "David" Lancaster; paternal grandparents, Aldis and Shirley Lancaster; and maternal grandfather, Ross Paden. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Friday, February 15, 2019 at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Mayfield officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Paden Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be offered at myersfuneralhomewv.com.
