Mildred Maxine Owens

Mildred Maxine Owens, 87, passed away December 9, 2012, in Houston, Texas. She was born March 4, 1925, in Sistersville, WV, a daughter of the late Marion Esther and James Lloyd Snider. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cless Chandis Owens. Maxine worked in retail for Hinerman Brothers Department Store for several years, and later worked at Stewart’s Market in Sistersville, WV, until her retirement. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Sistersville. She is survived by her daughter, Connie S. Vandegrift and her husband, Dorsey L. Vandergrift of Houston, TX; one granddaughter, Traci Michelle Pastrana of Houston, TX; one grandson, Michael Andrew Vandegrift and his wife, Elizabeth Kay Vandegrift, of Georgetown, TX; and three great-grandchildren, Sage Michael Pastrana, Bailey Susan Vandegrift and Reagan Lee Vandegrift. Services will be Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Dawson officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 14, 2012 from 6-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home.
