Nancy Forrester

Nancy Forrester, 86, of Middlebourne, WV, passed away July 19, 2023 at The Heritage at St. Mary's.

She was born July 17, 1937, a daughter of the late Frank Lucas and Mary Laidacker Lucas.

Nancy was a member of the Middlebourne United Methodist Church.  She and her late husband, Richard, loved to travel to antique shops and auctions collecting glassware and she was an excellent seamstress and quilter. Her favorite role was that of "Nan", as she dedicated her life to the care of many children in the community.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen ("Webb") Carpenter of St. Mary's, WV and Lisa Forrester of Salt Lake City, UT and grandson, Richard Adam Carpenter.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Forrester and siblings, Mary Jane (Frank) Briggs, William (Gertrude) Lucas, Dean (Mary Belle) Lucas, Frances (Lloyd) Thurman, Dorothy Lucas, Ruth Ann (Mike) Kurshuk, Frank (Shirley) Lucas, Robert Lucas, Donald (Mary Ellen) Lucas, Jean (Stan) Archer, Ellen (Richard) Smythe, Jimmy (Marilyn) Lucas, Michael (Olga) Lucas and infant sister, Alice Marie Lucas.

Visitation will be Saturday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Sapp officiating.  Interment will be in Middlebourne Cemetery.
