Nellie M. Hubbard

Nellie M. Hubbard, 84, of Sistersville, WV, passed away January 3, 2013 at Sistersville Center. She was born October 4, 1928, in Paden City, WV, a daughter of the late Homer Hoskins and Louise Burhy Hoskins. Nellie opened her home to many foster children throughout the years. She owned and operated Mother Hubbard’s store on Rt. 180. She is survived by son, Mark (Renee) Hubbard, Jr., of Sistersville; daughters, Betty (George) Bassett of Sistersville and Judy (Bill) White of Middlebourne; foster-son, Buddy Pardine of Friendly; sister, Betty Williams of Wellsburg; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Hubbard, Sr. in 1999, sister, Ruth Loy and brother, Homer “Jake” Hoskins, both of New Martinsville. Services will be Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor Bud Bassett officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 2-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home.
