Opal M. Cooper

Opal M. Stoneking Cooper, 90, of Paden City, W.Va., passed away on June 23, 2008 at her home. She was born on March 11, 1918 in Dutch Run, Wetzel County, W.Va., the daughter of the late John B. and Hattie Mae Chapman Stoneking. She was a homemaker and attended the Friendly Church of Christ. She is survived by her children, Ray (Judy) Cooper, Sistersville, W.Va., Alice (Floyd) Bungard, Paden City, W.Va., Mazie (Ralph) Dunn, New Matamoras, Ohio, Nancy (Blaine) Smith, Sistersville, W.Va., Shirley (Larry) Kimble, Middlebourne, W.Va. and Debbie (Kenneth) Lipscomb, Sistersville, W.Va.; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia Pyles, Sistersville, W.Va. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Harley Cooper; brother, Raymond Stoneking; and sister, Mabel Alice Stoneking. Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Friendly Church of Christ with Evangelist Jon Kerns and Evangelist Bill Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Sistersville, W.Va. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Sistersville, W.Va.
