Opal "Kay" Tallman

Opal Carol "Kay" Tallman, 90, of Elk Fork, Middlebourne, WV, passed away February 14, 2020, at Wetzel County Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born August 18, 1929, a daughter of the late Thomas D. Haught and Opal Fell Haught. Kay was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son, J. Gary Tallman of Portland, OR; daughter, Laura L. (Eugene) Friend, of Middlebourne, WV; granddaughter, Joanna Lyn Friend (Conner Shepherd); great-granddaughters, Olive and Alice Mykisen and her faithful companion, Marley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Tallman, brother, Thomas D. Haught and sister, Maxine Haught Fletcher. At Kay's request, there will be no visitation or service. She will be interred next to her husband in Greenwood Cemetery, Sistersville, WV. In her memory, an open house will be held in the Spring to be announced by her family. In remembrance, memorial contributions may be made in Kay's name to Journey Hospice, 314 S.
