Otto Borman Smith, Jr. 82, of 3658 Tyler Highway, Sistersville, WV, departed this life on September 5, 2015 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, surrounded by his wife and loving family. He was born July 3, 1933 in Pleasants County, WV. He was the son of the late Otto Borman Smith, Sr. and Gladys Estel Wells Smith. Otto was a member of the Sistersville First Baptist Church. He was retired from Ormet Corporation and he was an Army veteran. He was also a member of the Tyler County Shriners, Wetzel Masonic Lodge #39 and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #6327. Otto is survived by his wife of 63 years, Norma Jean Cornell Smith; daughters, Teresa Starcher (David) Burgey of Sistersville, WV, Cindy (William "Buddy") Emmerling of East Liverpool, OH and Donna (Ronald) George of Sistersville, WV and sister, Ruth Metz of Friendly, WV; grandchildren, Victoria (Craig) Card of Natrona Heights, PA, Amy (Brandon) Thompson of Hickory, NC, and Stacy (Ben) Corll of Lisbon, OH; and seven great grandchildren, Anna, Isabelle, and Evan Card, Christian, Noah, and Isaac Thompson and Maggie Jean Corll. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gordon Wells; son-in-law, Victor Starcher, II, and in-laws, Harold and Sara Cornell. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Myers Funeral Home Sistersville, with service being held Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Sistersville, WV with Pastor Darrell Mayfield officiating.
