Patricia June Eckels

Patricia June Eckels, 78, of Sistersville, WV, passed away December 9, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born May 20, 1934, in New Martinsville, WV, a daughter of the late John Gehring and Ella Siegenthaler Gehring. Patty was a co-owner of Eckels Funeral Home in Sistersville for over 30 years. She was a member of the Sistersville First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the OES New Martinsville Chapter #50 and she was a Red Hatter. She is survived by her husband, John P. Eckels of Sistersville; sons, Scott (Kim) Eckels of Williamstown and Todd (Patty) Eckels of Morgantown; and grandchildren, Logan, Caroline, Olivia, Jeremy and Kayla and longtime caregiver, Kate Beegle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ida Gehring and Mary Kirk. Services will be Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 11:00 am at Myers Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Dawson and Reverend Brian Seders officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at Myers Funeral Home. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered at myersfuneralhomewv.com.
