Patsy "Pat" Deaton

Patsy "Pat" Deaton, 87, of Parkersburg, WV, formerly of Friendly, WV, went to be with her maker February 20, 2016 at the Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville, OH. She was born April 12, 1929, a daughter of the late Paul Frum and Marjorie Frum. Pat worked at Frum's Store in Bens Run, WV; she had a preschool in Sistersville, WV and was a teacher's aide at Sistersville Junior High and Main Street Elementary and she was a Cub Scout Leader. She also loved camping, quilting, painting and any kinds of crafts. She was a member of the Friendly United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons, Chuck (Sharon) Deaton of Parkersburg, WV and Steve (Kris) Deaton of Marina, CA; two brothers, Don (Irene) Frum and Paul (Louise) Frum, both of Bens Run, WV; grandson, Darrin Deaton of Parkersburg, WV; and great-granddaughters, Abby Deaton of Elizabeth, WV and Alyssa Deaton, of Parkersburg, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Putt Deaton; sister, Joan Stewart and brother, Dave Frum. Services will be Friday at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Reverend Gene Adkins officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home. Interment will be at Friendly Cemetery.
