Patsy Sue Welch

Welch, Patsy S., age78, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, died, Friday, October 19, 2018 at IU Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. She was born on May 13, 1940 in Reader, WV, a daughter of the late Phillip and Pearl Louise Smith Springer. Patsy was a retired Registered Nurse; a U.S. Navy veteran and a Catholic by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman “Nick” Welch in 1986 and one son, Tim Welch. Surviving are two sons: Michael Welch of Nevada and Scott Welch of California; one daughter: Shawna Welch David of California; five sisters: Tina Davis, Pearl Goddard, Dawnita Matthews, Chandra Taylor and Yolinda Snyder; two brothers: John Phillip Springer and David Springer and was loved by her many grandchildren. There will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be held at Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville, WV. Arrangements entrusted to Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville.
