Paul Williamson

Paul Williamson, 86, of Friendly, WV, passed away on August 8, 2023 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 25, 1936, in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late Martin Williamson and Deloris Light Williamson.

Paul spent his 43 year career in the steel fabrication industry working at Sistersville Tank Works, Valley Steel and Shuttler Machine and Fabrication. He was a member of the Oxford Street Church of Christ and he loved to travel and attend concerts.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joann Mercer Williamson of Friendly, WV; children, Sheila (Steve) Dale of South Charleston, WV, Sandra (Ken) Balough of Altoona, PA, Michael (Theresa) Williamson of Little Hocking, OH and Shawn (Rebecca) Williamson of Canal Winchester, OH; grandchildren, Chancelor (Laken), Anita (Jeff), Seth (Emily), Shelby (Rashid), Hayley (Taylor) and Jessica (Edward) and great-grandchildren, Harper, Ronan, Hutchison, Callum Victor, Jaxon, and Will, who is due in November.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 PM at Myers Funeral Home with Evangelist Skip Andrews officiating.  Burial will follow in Friendly Cemetery.
