Pearley E. Ankrom, 66, of Thaw Place, Sistersville, WV, passed away on August 3, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with cancer at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born January 20, 1948, a son of the late Pearley L. Ankrom and Lula Mae Shreves Ankrom. Pearley retired from Cabot Ohio River Plant and Labor Local 1085 with thirty nine years of service. His favorite things to do were mowing the farm and talking to everyone. He loved watching his three grandchildren and telling them about life. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Wilkinson Ankrom of forty-five years; sons, Mike (Lisa) Ankrom of Everett, WA and Mark (Becky) Ankrom of Sistersville; grandchildren, Blaise, Amanda and Hannah (Sis); brother, Kenneth (Loretta) Ankrom, his hero, of Bellsville, WV; and sisters, Nancy Runion and Mary Barnhart of Sistersville and very special nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by young son, Scott Ankrom; one brother and nine sisters. Services will be Thursday at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Dawson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home.
