Phyllis L. Grimes

Phyllis L. Grimes, 81, of Sistersville, WV, passed away November 5, 2016, at Genesis Healthcare New Martinsville Center, surrounded by her family. She was born June 25, 1935, in Tyler County, WV, the daughter of the late John Neff and Lucy Jacobs Neff. Phyllis was a homemaker and she was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. She loved attending Paden City and Tyler Consolidated ball games. She also enjoyed farm life, camping and Canaan Valley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Warren Neff. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald E. Grimes of Sistersville; sons, Donald "Kevin" (Aleta) Grimes of Sistersville, WV, Dennis "Keith" (Laura) Grimes of Paden City, WV and Darrell "Kurt" (Amy) Grimes of Sistersville, WV; sisters, Etha (Paul) Buck, Mary Stewart and Shirley (Harold) Ice; grandchildren, Timothy, Melissa, Pamela, Lezlie, Justin, Jeremy, Brandon and John Taylor and great-grandchildren, Audrey, Dillen, Lacey, Keelin, Kolby, Colton and Brayden. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Wednesday from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am with Evangelist Niles Hissom officiating.
