Phyllis Jean Wells Dieterich

Phyllis Jean Wells Dieterich, 75, of Paden City, WV, passed away July 7, 2014 at Liza's Place. Phyllis was born June 5, 1939, a daughter of the late Bert Wells and Leone Slider Wells. She is survived by her son, Edward (Laura) Dieterich of Pittsburgh, PA; daughters, Jill Dieterich (Tom Wise) of Moundsville, WV, Katrina (Rodney) Byers of Sistersville, WV and Jacqueline Hizer of St. Albans, WV and grandchildren, Christopher Byers, Amanda Belesky and Tyler Hizer. Phyllis was a Guidance Counselor and Teacher for 34 years in Tyler County and Pleasants County. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Paden City, and a member of the DAR. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3901 Briscoe Run Road, Parkersburg, WV 26104, Liza's Place, 308 Mount Saint Joseph Road, Wheeling, WV 26003 or Paden City Museum, PO Box 233, Paden City, WV 26159. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Myers Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Judy Vetter officiating.
