Ralph Ray Gilbert

Ralph Ray Gilbert, 82, of Paden City, WV, passed away on March 25, 2015. He was born March 19, 1933, in Paden City, WV, a son of the late Lester Leo Gilbert and Lillian Bell Hayes Gilbert. Ralph graduated with the first graduating class of Paden City High School in 1952. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and received an Honorable Discharge on February 10, 1963. He was a self-employed carpenter by trade and he enjoyed working on boats as a hobby. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Lynn (Ed) Parsons of Paden City and son, Danny (Susan) Gilbert also of Paden City; brother, Larry Dean (Peril) Gilbert of Harrisville; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and companion Judy Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Lester (Buss) Gilbert, Irene Loy Gilbert Amos, Carol Anderson and Mona Mae Burnside Gilbert. Visitation will be Monday, March 30, 2015 from 11:00 – 1:00 pm with funeral services starting at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Dawson officiating. Interment will be at Northview Cemetery with full military rites. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Food Pantry, PO Box 227, Paden City, WV 26159.
