Richard "Rick" Knowlton

Richard "Rick" Knowlton, 65, of Sistersville, WV, passed away June 2, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born March 15, 1954, in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late Paul E. Knowlton and Virginia Bates Knowlton. Rick was retired from the former Ormet Corporation. He was a Christian by faith and he was a member of the member of the Sistersville ELKS Lodge #333. Rick's passion for WVU was immeasurable. The next time you hear "Let's Go", we are sure he will respond, "Mountaineers" from above. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kitty Still Knowlton of Sistersville, WV; son, Kyle Knowlton of Morgantown, WV; daughter, Nikki Knowlton of Sistersville, WV; brother, Greg (Donna) Knowlton of Atlanta, GA; and his faithful companion, Jay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Knowlton, mother and father-in-law, Katy and Ed Amos and brothers-in-law, Larry Still, Tim Still and Vic Goudy. His family has honored his request for cremation without a service. Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV, is assisting the family with arrangements.
