Richard Lee Smith,

Richard Lee Smith, Sr., 76, of Jacksonburg, WV, passed away January 28, 2016 at home. He was born September 4, 1939, in Paden City, WV, a son of the late John Franklin Smith and Beulah Jones Smith. Richard was a retired construction worker and he was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. He loved fishing, hunting and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Mary Greathouse Smith of 57 years; daughters, Lesa (Gary Wade) Domonski and Anita (Gary, Sr.) Bennett, both of Middlebourne, WV; sons, Richard Lee Smith, Jr. and Randy Eugene (Elizabeth) Smith, both of Virginia; grandchildren, Raven Domonski, Bobbie Sue Bassett, Kelly Smith, Austin Smith, Aaron Smith, Chelsea Edwards and Chasity Smith and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandchildren, Anthony Smith, Gary Bennett, Jr., Richard Smith, III and John Franklin Smith, II and great-grandson, David Keith Cooper. Services will be Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at Myers Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, February 1, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home. Interment will be at Northview Cemetery.
