Richard W. Wayne

Wayne, Richard W., age 60, of Sistersville, WV died Saturday, August 3, 2019 at his residence. He was born on November 9, 1958 in Sistersville, a son of the late Alvin Ray Wayne and Shirley Irene Wayne Houser. Richard had been a welder for 39 years and recently worked for Cam-Safety, New Martinsville, WV; was a member of the First Christian Church, Sistersville; was a Support Member of the Sistersville Volunteer Fire Dept. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Kloe and Shelby. Surviving are his wife, Debbie Day Wayne; three sons: Jason (Kim) Wayne , Matthew Wayne and Steven (Kathryn) Wayne all of Sistersville; one sister: Gayle (Kenneth) Williamson of Friendly, WV; two brothers: Robert Wayne of Salem, WV and Joe Wayne of Sistersville; six grandchildren: Logan, Kirsten, Haley, Wesley, Joey and Katie; several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Sistersville, Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm with Minister Pat Stillwagner officiating.
