Robert "Bob" Nalley, Sr.

Robert "Bob" Nalley, Sr., of Sistersville, WV passed away July 2, 2022 at home, surrounded by his family. He was born May 16, 1940, in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late Cecil Nalley and Lucy Hadley Nalley. Bob retired after 42 years of service from Mobay/Bayer Corporation as a Heavy Equipment Operator.He was a member of the Pursley Church of Christ, where he served as Trustee and Treasurer.He enjoyed doing things for and with his church family.Bob enjoyed all things farming and he loved going to tractor pulls.He was also the Treasurer for the Tyler County Fair Association and Assistant Track Manager and Treasurer at the Tyler County Speedway.He and his wife, Ginger owned and operated Nalley's Family Furniture for 27 years and also owned Nalley Timber and Town & Country Equipment.Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ginger Wright Nalley; daughter, Doretta (Travis) Morrison of Sistersville, WV; son, Bobby (Heather) Nalley of Pawley's Island, SC; grandchildren, Randy "Bub" Ash, Scott (Sophia) Ash, Collin Nalley and Chase Nalley; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Ash, Barrett Ash and Teagan Morrison; nephew, Kenny (Martha) Hunt and nieces, Sharon (Jim) Clegg and Becky (John) Baughman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dale E. Nalley and sister, Freda Nalley Hunt. Visitation will be Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 at Myers Funeral Home.Funeral service will be on Sunday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Jim Clegg officiating.Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
