Robert "Bob" Forester

Robert “Bob” Lewis Forester, 75, of Sistersville, WV, passed away December 27, 2010 at Sistersville Center. He was born December 17, 1935 in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late Earl Edmond Forester and Virginia Lee Spence Forester. Bob was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Sistersville. He worked at Union Carbide for 45 years as a Supervisor and Foreman. He was a member of the Army Reserve, he was one of the founding members of the Sistersville Jaycees, he was a past member of the Sistersville Elks BPOE #333, and he was a member of the Sistersville Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years. Bob was an avid reader, he walked to town twice a day and he was a graduate of SHS Class of 1953. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Frances Craven Forester of 54 years; sons, Robert “Hank” Forster of Bossier City, LA and John Forester of Morgantown, WV; daughters, Jennifer Forester of Morgantown, WV, Betsy Robinson of Shirley, WV and Joanna Forester of Holly Springs, NC; sister, Judy Webb of Fayetteville, NC; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three faithful dogs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William Forester and Jack Forester. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Olive Branch Animal Rescue, P.O. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 at Myers Funeral Home with recitation of Rosary at 7:00 pm with Chritian Wake Service to follow.
