Ron Brightwell

Ronald “Ron” Brightwell, 67, of Waverly, WV, formerly Sistersville, WV, passed away January 31, 2024 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 2, 1956, in Follansbee, WV, the son of the late Henry Brightwell, Jr. and Alice Owens Brightwell.

Ron retired as a Mechanic from Momentive Performance Materials, formerly Union Carbide.  He was a United States Air Force veteran and he enjoyed hunting and playing basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Brightwell of Waverly, WV; daughter, Melissa Brightwell, of Pennsboro, WV; brother, Charles “Chuck” Brightwell; sisters, Rita (Dave) Pratt and Sandy Carroll and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Karen “Sue” Shuman and nephew, Scott Pratt.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Reverend Bobby Thomas officiating.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery with full military rites.
