Ronald Gene Howell

Ronald Gene Howell, Sr., 70, of Sistersville, WV, passed away on January 6, 2015 at Sistersville General Hospital. He was born May 10, 1944, a son of the late Chester Howell and Wilma Ankrom Howell. Ron was retired from the United States Army with twenty-three years of service, he was a member of the Sistersville Elks Lodge #333, life-time member of the American Legion Post #67, the VFW Post #6327 and the New Martinsville Moose Lodge #931. Ron is survived by his wife, Teressia Howell of Sistersville; sons, Andrew Howell of New Martinsville and Robert Clegg of Sardis, OH; daughters, Katelyn Howell of Sistersville, Gabrielle Fortner of TX, Brandy Clegg and April Clegg of New Martinsville; sisters, Deloris Rector of New Martinsville and Iona Rector of Massillon, OH; sister-in-law, Diane Howell of Paden City; daughter-in-law, Tammy Howell of TX; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Howell and brother, Raymond "Sonny" Howell. Services will be Friday at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Dawson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 at the funeral home.
