Ronald "Ron" Wilkinson

Ronald "Ron" Wilkinson, 74, of Sistersville, WV, passed away on September 14, 2022 at home, surrounded by his family. He was born September 22, 1947, in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late George Wilkinson and Hattie Dalrymple Wilkinson. Ron was a United States Air Force veteran and he was a retired Mechanic for the Department of Highways. He enjoyed tinkering on cars and lawn mowers and he always took the time to help people no matter how he was feeling. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Owens Wilkinson; daughters, Carla Lancaster of Paden City, WV and Darla Ross of Sistersville, WV; sisters, Maxine Ankrom and Beverly Parrish; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his cat, "Big Boy". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Smith; great-grandson, Stephon Glen; brother, Denny Wilkinson and sister, Sue Darnell. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm with Reverend Bobby Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Friendly Cemetery.
