Ruth Ellen Johnson

Ruth Ellen Johnson, 90, of Sistersville, WV, passed away, December 10, 2017 at Sistersville Center. She was born March 8, 1927, a daughter of the late Elmer Hutchison and Amanda Dulaney Crane. Ruth was a foster grandparent at Sistersville Elementary School. She was a member of the Sistersville First Baptist Church, a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir. She was also a gospel singer with the Johnson trio and the Fletcher-Johnson Quartet. She was also a member of the Red Hatter's, Dogwood Twig and the Garden Club. She is survived by her daughters, Patty (Leonard) Pratt of Paden City, WV and Joan Johnson of Scottsdale, AZ; granddaughters, Aunnia (John) Brady and Lacy Pratt, both of Paden City, WV and great-grandchildren, Abigale and Isaiah Brady and Rustilynn and Ryder McIntyre and several nieces, nephews, family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Johnson in 1993, her brothers, Robert, Roy, and Norman Hutchison and sister, Virginia Ice. Services will be Wednesday at 1:00 pm at Sistersville First Baptist Church with Pastor Darrell Mayfield officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home.
