Shirley Herbold

Angels carried Shirley Herbold, 84, of Sistersville, WV, from her home on December 4, 2019. She was born February 14, 1935, in Waverly, WV, a daughter of the late Ray and Augusta Pittman Lauderman. Shirley was a hard working, loving person who spent time doing for others. She loved cooking, baking cookies and caring for family and friends. She was a caregiver for her mother-in-law, grandfather, mother and sister-in-law. She will be sadly missed by all. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ernest P. Herbold, Sr., of Sistersville, WV; son, Ernerst P. (Lori) Herbold, Jr., of Paden City, WV; daughters, Debra (Tom) Hayes and Temara Hissam, both of Sistersville, WV; grandchildren, Heather (Jerry) Cullymore of Sistersville, WV, Thomas "Jarrod" (Lisa) Hayes of Parkersburg, WV, Mitchel Herbold of Moundsville, WV, Ryan Gorby of Denver, CO, Marcus (Ashley) Herbold of Paden City, WV and Jill (Jay) LeMasters of Friendly, WV; great-grandchildren, Catherine and Thomas J. Hayes, Tyson Herbold, Haylea, Hunter and Jarrett LeMasters, Yale Wetzel and Maddy and Lily Hayes; seventeen nieces and nephews, sister, Marilyn Thoburn and brothers, Dearld "Pete" (Mary Jo) Lauderman, Gerald (Kimberly) Lauderman and Andre Wetzel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mona Lauderman Wetzel and three brothers-in-law, Russell Wetzel, Alex (Bozy) Thoburn, Robert Wetzel; son-in-law, Billy K. Hissam and granddaughter, Deborah "Lynn" Hissam Hayes. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to your choice of a local food pantry. There will be a visitation, Monday, December 9, 2019 at Myers Funeral Home from 10:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm with Evangelist Jerry Toothman officiating.
