Susan J. Weaver

Susan Joann Weaver, 71, formerly of Shallotte, N.C., and Sistersville, W.Va., passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008, at Duke Hospital in Raleigh, N.C. She was born in Sistersville, W.Va., on February 23, 1937, the daughter of the late James and Rebecca Hubacher. Her husband of 48 years, Billy B. Weaver; her sisters, Gertrude Koonseman, Maybelle Placer, Beatrice "Chubby" Ritchie, Sara Wright, Peggy Wickham, Ruth Roush and Vera Hubacher; and brother, James Hubacher Jr., predeceased her. Mrs. Weaver was a member of The First Baptist Church in Sistersville and Emblem Club 84 of Sistersville. She is survived by her son, Billy Weaver and his wife, Angie, of Bennettsville, S.C.; son, Roger Weaver and his wife, Brenda, of Hope Mills, N.C.; daughter, Karen Weaver of Wake Forest, N.C.; sister, Jackie Smith of Sistersville, W.Va.; and sister, Mary Ritchie and her husband, Jack, of Marietta, Ohio. Also surviving are grandchildren, Brandon Linden of Greensburg, Pa., Geoffrey Weaver of Wilmington, N.C., Rachel Weaver of Wilmington, N.C., and Sarah Weaver of Bennettsville, S.C. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Sistersville, W.Va.
