Farhatt, Suzanne Konrad, age 67, of Middlebourne, WV died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. She was born on September 28, 1948 in Paden City, WV a daughter of the late George Frederick and Mary Veronica Taylor Konrad. Suzanne retired from the Middle Island Health Clinic and previously worked for Millers Pharmacy in Middlebourne; was a member of the United Christian Fellowship, Middlebourne; was the first female elected to the Middlebourne Town Council; served as Town Recorder for Middlebourne and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Suzanne was a fun loving person, her laughter and personality lit the room that drew people to her. She was loving, kind hearted, giving and endlessly caring. She freely shared her love of God, and spread her joy along life’s path, gathering friends and family into the warm embrace of her love. She adored her “grands” and enjoyed every moment with them. Suzanne’s departure from this world has left a void that no other will ever fill and she will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles “Bud” Konrad and sister, Patricia Jean Workman. Surviving are her husband, John Lee Farhatt; two daughters: Stephanie (Rodney) Miller of Middlebourne and Shelley (Brent) Ice of Sistersville; one sister: Mary Lynn (Frank) Chesnik of Swansboro, NC; grandchildren: Daniel, Megan, Allie, Alisa, Jarrett, Maddie and Abby; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the United Christian Fellowship. 678 Gorrell’s Run Road, Middlebourne. Friends will also be received on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m with Pastor Louise Baker and Pastor Mike Lenz officiating. Interment will follow in the United Christian Fellowship Cemetery, Middlebourne Memorial contributions may be made to The Sparrow’s Nest, 1818 W. 86th St., Tulsa, OK 74132 or by going to www.thesparrowsnest.org/donate. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV.
