Thelma June Gilbert

Thelma June Gilbert, 82, of Middlebourne, WV, passed away September 14, 2011 at Wetzel County Hospital. She was born June 18, 1929, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Samuel Bowen and Lydia Alderman Bowen. June was a homemaker and lifetime member of the Sistersville Elks BPOE #333. She is survived by her son, Robert (Patricia) Deegan of Middlebourne; brothers, James (Delores) Bowen of Florida and Keith Bowen of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Bridget Giovinazzo of Marietta, OH and Cliff Lancaster of Homer City, PA; and great-grandchildren, Sean Staats, Kiara Hughes, Brody Giovinazzo, Ali Lancaster and Maddie Lancaster. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gilbert and brothers, Samuel Bowen, Jr., Lloyd Bowen and David Bowen. At June’s request there will be no services.
