Tommy Gene Bowen

Tommy Gene Bowen, 71, of Sistersville, WV, passed away, September 4, 2014, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born October 15, 1942, in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late Ray Bowen and Virginia Haught Eddy Bowen Freeland. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Local Pipefitters Union #565, a member of the Sistersville ELKS BPOE #333, and the VFW Post #6327. He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Bowen Duerson of Florida; sister, Suzanne Heinlein of Sistersville; adopted son, Christian Weekley of Middlebourne; grandson, Kyle; one great-grandchild; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kerry Bowen. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-3 with the funeral at 3:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Dawson officiating. Interment will be at Friendly Cemetery.
