Verna Rae Wilkinson

Wilkinson, Verna Rae, 67, of Sistersville, WV died Sunday, March 17, 2019 at her residence. She was born on March 12, 1952 in Alliance, OH, a daughter of the late Theodore J. and Ruth Ellen Nichols Ziegler. Verna was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David “Butch” Wilkinson and one son, Matthew Layne McCready. Surviving are two daughters: Michelle (Cory) Donham of Wichita, KS and Melodie (Andy) Updike of Broken Arrow, OK; one daughter-in-law, Kimberly McCready of Carrollton, GA; her first husband: Mark McCready of Broken Arrow, OK four siblings: Roland (Patricia) Ziegler of Friendly, WV, Dale Ziegler of Roebuck, SC, Evelyn Ziegler of Proctor, WV and Theodore Junior (Kathleen) Ziegler, II of Sistersville, WV; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Sistersville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville.
