Victor Eugene "Gene" Hisam

Victor Eugene “Gene” Hisam, 74, of Friendly, passed away April 19, 2011 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born March 25, 1937, a son of the late Lawrence Gayle Hisam and Evelyn Mae Wells Hisam. Gene was a retired chemical worker of 33 years at Union Carbide and was a member of the Chemical Workers Union Local 698. He was a 1956 graduate of Sistersville High School and he was a protestant by faith. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Hall Hisam of Friendly; daughter, Pam Camerlin of Friendly; brother Gary Lee (Debbie) Hisam of Friendly; grandchildren, Valerie (Von) Ash of Sistersville, Lucretia Camerlin and Dana Camerlin of Friendly; two great grandsons, Chandler Ash and Colton Ash of Sistersville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Hisam. Services will be Saturday at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Williamson officiating.
