Victor Joseph Goudy, 58, of Sistersville, W.Va., died Sunday, October 19, 2008, at Fish Creek Road, McElroy Mine, Proctor, W.Va. He was born August 2, 1950 in Elyria, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph I. Goudy and Thelma Louise Smith Goudy. He was a coal miner; a US Army Sergeant of Vietnam; a member of VFW Post 6327, Sistersville; and past post commander of Sistersville American Legion Post 67. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Goudy, II. Surviving are his wife, Nila Rae Still Goudy; daughters, Victoria Day of Sistersville, W.Va., Erin Goudy and Meredith Goudy, both of Parkersburg, W.Va.; grandsons, Stephen, Gauge, and Elijah Day, all of Sistersville, W.Va.; granddaughter, India Robinson of Parkersburg, W.Va.; brothers, Samual D. Goudy of Utah, Robert Powell of New Martinsville, W.Va., Gary Powell of Brunswick, Ohio and Dale Goudy of New Martinsville, W.Va.; and sisters, Barbara Goudy of Utah, JoAnn Thomas of New Martinsville, W.Va., Joyce Calhoun of Oakland, Md. and Cathy Harman of New Martinsville, W.Va. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Sistersville, W.Va. with James Willison officiating. Services will conclude with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Sistersville. Friends may call from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
