Violet Mercer

Violet Mercer, 72, of Elk Fork Community, WV, passed away December 12, 2018 at Sistersville General Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born November 2, 1946, in Elk Fork, WV, a daughter of the late Virgil Welling and Juanita Metz Welling. Violet was a member of the Elk Fork Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Mercer of Elk Fork and daughters, Becky (Buddy) Neff and Brooke Mercer of Elk Fork; grandchildren, Kayla Kinney and Kaitlyn Neff and special friend, Mona Cumberledge. Her family has honored her request for a private funeral and graveside service. There will be a memorial service at the Elk Fork Church of Christ on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Evangelist William Ferrell officiating.
