Virginia "Ginny" Travis

Virginia "Ginny" Travis, 96, of Sistersville, WV, passed away July 18, 2014 at Sistersville Center. Ginny was born November 2, 1917, a daughter of the late John Martin and Mary Davis Martin. She is survived by her son, John (Betty) Travis of Paden City, WV; grandchildren, Teresa "Terri" Travis of Moundsville, WV, Jay (Tracy) Cornell of Sistersville, WV and Kathy (Mark) Klages of Sistersville, WV; six great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Travis; daughter, Nancy Buchanan; grandson, Kevin Cornell; brothers, Richard, Robert, Mark, and Clifford Martin; and sisters, Violet "Billie" Rapp, Isaphine Yoho, Marie Priest, Jeanette Hoppers and Rena Stewart. Services will be Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Mayfield officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
